Lent: Day Two - I'm Hungry

I don't think the fasting is going to go well. I was so hungry yesterday.  Today I woke up early and headed to the grocery store to get a few things.   I didn't feel hungry until i was in the store smelling all the random food.  I didn't even make it out of the parking lot before I opened up the bagged salad and started eating.  I won't do that again.  I feel low on energy, but maintaining.  I had a few beers and dinner at Extreme Pizza before heading out to watch a local play.  I don't think I drank enough water today and must remember to drink at least 80 oz a day.

Tomorrow I fast again. We'll see how it goes; If I don't feel well or have a hard time I will change Wednesdays and Fridays fasting to fresh fruits and veggies only.  I can't have my health suffer over Lent or anything else.

Question of the Day: What do you like most about being alone?

My answer is the option to be in my home privately and enjoy the silence or to be in out in the world and enjoy nature.  Though I live in an apartment and can hear the neighbors most of the time.  I have found ways to enjoy my time alone reading, writing, and even meditating with no interruptions.  If the neighbors are too loud I will put on some music.  Maybe even dance in the nude. Yes I enjoy being in the nude often when I am alone.  Sometimes I can't find alone time in my home, so I will go for a walk and enjoy the solitude of being in the world.  It helps me think, plan, and clear my head when I'm upset or confused.  Sometimes I will hike up into Black Diamond Mines and sit quietly, enjoying nature.  Being alone helps me refocus, regain my inner-self, and relax.

Project 365: Week one.

The first week of Project 365 is pretty random. I will do better at keeping up with my Year of Self and taking photos that go with it. Some days I may just want to share something I like.  So here is week one. Enjoy!

Day 1 of 30 & 365. Started the year off with a mug shot
Day 2 of 30 & 365. I was to lazy to find another reason to take a picture.

Day 3 of 365. I figured out I could write on my Polaroids. HELL YA! Oh and that's the coffee mug I bought at the 99 cents store. I needed one for school. I removed the zebra print but haven't found something to replace it yet.

Day 4 of 365. Samantha and her friend Hailey planted some veggies. I got some radishes and boy were they spicy, I didn't know they were supposed to be like that.  I am hoping to grow my own veggies starting this Spring.

Day 5 of 365. Made myself a Blog journal for notes & ideas.

Day 6 of 365. I have too many boxes of stuff. I need to find a place to put my new Panini Press & Cake Pop maker. Then I should sell some of my books.  A good way to de-clutter my home and relieve some stress.

EASTER is here.

I'm not the Easter Bunny!

I wonder what this super cute kitty-bunny was looking at. He looks really scared or shocked. Maybe he/she saw the real Easter Bunny.

Happy Easter Everyone! I hope you have an amazing day.

I should be cleaning, but....

oohh scary
I have too much on my mind today. I have been cleaning, I swear. If you saw my room right now you would scream in terror. The dust bunnies may attack, I'm not sure if they will, but you never know.  I started my Spring Cleaning today in my room. I am about half way done since I didn't start until 2:00pm. All this week is conference week at Turner and I am watching my neighbors kids after school for about an hour. So I decide to wait until after the kids left to start cleaning. I already went through my clothes in my room the other day. I still have to get the ones I packed away and sort through them. I even cleaned my computer inside and out; transfered files to the external, cleaned the tower, keyboard, and dusted the desk. It must have been a while because it took me 2 hours to do that. Yikes!
Though I am cleaning and all, I feel out of place. I keep trying to focus on the cleaning as what it is. For some reason I feel like I am purging my life with this cleaning and letting go of a part of me. It's weird to explain the feelings I have as I remove some things from my home and my life. All I am doing is cleaning, nothing different than before, I just feel different this time around. It's as if I am turning the page to a new chapter in my life. I did throw away things I have held on to for so long. I really didn't need them, but I couldn't let them go. I don't feel a sense of loss, those item did bring back memories that were lost and maybe thats where the feelings are coming from. The music may not be helping either. I love Colbie Caillat. She has a fabulous voice and great music. Her music usually sooths my mood. Today I think she may be making me feel sentimental. I don't like it.
As I sit at my desk typing these words I am laughing at myself and my feelings.Thinking: Ryan would say I'm thinking too much, and yes I am, aren't I?... I just realized I am showing the world how mentally unstable I can be; haha thats okay I don't mind. I'm crazy, but not THAT crazy, yet.

So I am done with my break. I needed one after removing the mattresses from my bed and vacuuming the floor, bed frame, and mattresses. Those things are heavy! Plus it was that time of year to flip the mattress. Now onto reorganizing the rest of the furniture and dust. I also need to organize Ryans DVDs and and games.

Oh by the way....

In The Absence of Sex

Two years ago I attempted to explore a variety of dating and sexual encounters. It fizzled out quickly.  I was bored or unimpressed with the...
