Since my doctors visit I have been trying to research different styles of healthier lifestyles. I don't want a fad diet. I need to change my habits for life. There is an abundance of information. Everyone thinks they have the answer to all your fitness and diet needs. Somehow everyone is an expert. Almost every site I went to had some amazing life changing plan. Everyone wants you to sign up for free information. Okay, okay, I did sign up for a few. There are so many fad diets and fix it all healthy lifestyles that I feel overwhelmed. I wanted to give up; I haven't even started. I watched videos, took notes, pinned, downloaded, and printed a ton of information to compile what might work for me. I AM EXHAUSTED!!! Yup, it was a workout just weeding through all the websites and fitness gurus. Any topic that drastically changed from one "expert" to the other I removed from my list of possibilities. I think I may have narrowed it down. I know this is going to start with trial and error and be a long journey before I get it just right, for me. I'm sure there will be something I find along the way that I may like better, but for now, I think I'll have a good start. I'm still researching two key lifestyle plans to decide which one will be better in the long run. I have a feeling I will be meshing them together in some way. Probably add something crazy to the mix along the way.
I'm sure you're wondering what the heck I'm talking about. My choices have come down to the Paleo and Keto diets. I tried Keto before but cried when I gave up all the lovely carbs. Sadly, I think I have no choice at this point. I'm a bloated butter ball right now and I'm blaming all the carbs I eat. I feel Paleo gives me more options, but Keto may be a better option. I will try both, one at a time, for 30 days each. I considered going 90 days but I might as well just keep going with my first choice, right? In order to prepare for this transition, I am resetting my gut and adding intermittent fasting. Actually, I've already started intermittent fasting by only eating during an 8 hour period.
I know this sounds extreme and crazy. It's probably unhealthy too, at least right now. But, I have been eating unhealthy for so long I need to do something. During the next week, as I am resetting my gut, I will be doing more research and making a plan. Paleo will most likely be my first choice. It's seems easier. Seems... We'll see. The number one thing I must do is keep a food journal. I'm not worried about tracking calories. I will attempt to track carbs, fat, and salt. I have a few fitness apps on my phone to help me keep track, but I want to also write it down. Writing makes me think about what I am doing and feeling. It will give me the opportunity to hold myself accountable.
I know there is a slight chance these don't work for my body, but I'm willing to try. The information on healthy living is just crazy. I'll also keep researching and learning new ways to live a healthier lifestyle. I promise.
What Fad diets have you tried? Do you have suggestions for other healthy lifestyles I may want to learn about?

Trying To Get My Groove Back
It's been tough. I have not had the desire to write. Then when I do have inspiration, I'm at work with no time to stop and jot down my thoughts. I haven't been reading much either. I have six books I have yet to finish. I'm not exercising, cleaning, organizing, and I have reminders on my phone to make sure I do these darn things. I need to get it together.
This time last year I was trying the Ruth Soukup challenges from her books. I failed miserably. One day is not enough time for my clutter. I did however donate ten boxes to Salvation Army in July and will be donating another six this week. My plan is to donate one more time by the end of the year.
I've made an End of the Year Plan... Yay! Okay, not really. If I would have done what I said I was going to last year, I would be buying a house and 100% organized right now. So this is me declaring my life a mess and it needs cleaning up... again. My dream/Goal is to become a minimalist. I have been watching videos on Youtube. Now, I don't want to get rid of everything I have. I want to reduce what I have to the important things and stop buying crap I don't need. I will never give up on my books, NEVER. So don't dare ask me to do that. I also need to get my health in order. I have gained a lot of weight recently and all my pants are pretty snug. I also look gross when I'm sitting. While I was thinking about ways to improve my life, I realized I spend most of my off time eating and playing Facebook games. YES, I said it, I play Facebook games. I started to make a list of things I want to work on. So this is where I'll start, then reevaluate in 30 days.

Happy August!
I can't believe how fast this year has gone by and I'm sure I say that every year. July came and went quickly, I didn't get as much organizing as I would have liked done. I did get the important stuff done though. I organized my room and made a little meditation spot. I cleaned out my closets again and got rid of a few things. I went out and did things alone. I did a dating myself type thing. It was boring. I need someone to talk to, but I will learn to like being alone more. I know I will.
August is all about choices... Better Choices!!
For my Mindful Happiness Project, August will be Making Healthier Choices & starting my Financial Stability goal. The only financial part I am starting is the non-consumerism, I will do this by using the reduce, reuse, recycle system. Using up what I have and only buying what is necessary. This month, school supplies, clothes, and school registration are the necessities. Recently, our toaster oven died. RIP Toasty... My kids really want me to get another one, but it will have to wait. My kids will just have to learn to use a real oven. Though we do not have a toaster and now the waffles in the freezer will have to be tossed. Oh well. I have books I will sell or donate, fabric that I either need to make into something or give to someone who can. I have computer parts and what not that need to be rid of. I was going to purchase 2 garbage bins for recycling, but I have decided to give up soda as part of my Healthy choices. I don't think I need the bins anymore. Boom! Saving money already.
Healthier Choices are so much harder. I enjoy food so much. I'm addicted to soda, okay more like addicted to sugar and caffeine. Both are unhealthy, I know. So I am really trying this time. I made tea this morning, filled my Brita pitcher, and made juice. My plan when it comes to food is to finish off whatever is in the house, and when I shop I will make better and healthier choices. I still have chips and popsicles in the house. I'll be having chips with my tuna salad sandwich in a second. I think as long as I eat within proper portions I should be okay. We have a lot of canned fruits and boxed meals because I was trying to get the kids to cook more. It didn't work. This time I will try a more fresh approach. More salads, crock pot cooking and fresh fruits and veggies. I'm also looking into a more sugar free lifestyle. I know I can't completely remove it, but if I can reduce it, I will. Time to do some research and find recipes that will taste delicious but sugar free.
Another healthy choice I am making is Fitness. I made up a 90 day challenge for me to do. I compiled a variety of fitness challenges and accounts, put them into a calendar for myself to work out to. I have Daily, weekly and monthly goals. I didn't add arm exercises to the list on the left and a friend pointed it out. Oopsy, I do have a plan for my arms and other body parts, I swear. I broke the 90 day challenge down into 3 months to keep myself motivated and focused. As time goes on, each month will become more intense, adding weights, time and exercises. I will share more about this once I have everything set up.
Well I guess that is all for now. Have a Happy August

Sunday funday
Today was an unexpected adventure out of the house. I had planned on going to purchase 1 item, but actually came home with new running shoes, accessories for Pride, and I treated myself to Tpgos & a movie.
Jurassic World was amazing as I expected it would be. Good storyline, decent charactors, beautiful dinosaurs. I love dinos by the way. I am Team Raptor for sure when it comes to the Jurassic movies. The only issue I had was the people behind me laughed loudly and talked through the movie. Also the two ladies next to me brought their toddlers who cried and talked through the whole movie. Grrr, personally I feel children don't belong in most movie theater showings. There are ratings for a reason. So my movie experience was semi-ruined by stupid people.
I got some new shoes I will be using to walk and jog the trails. I start tomorrow. I bought a boa, beads, and leis for pride. I also bought a spool of colored mesh to sew onto my white pettycoat for Sam to wear to pride. We can't wait to go.
Now onto a more personal note. Something is bugging me. I am hoping it's just my mind over thinking. I have this awful feeling something is wrong. I can't figure it out, and it needs to go away. This is making not trust people and be on constant alert . If I knew who the vibe was coming from, I could attempt to confront the issue. I have no clue who or what it is. Frustrating to say the least. If you know me and keeping secrets or know something I should. Please tell me. Whatever this is needs to go away.
I guess that is it for now. Keep moving forward.

The Fitness Challenge.
I am horrible at fitness challenges. Anything where I have to give up carbs and other yummy garbage food makes me cry. I have to do this, if I dont, I will live a short painful life. I can't have that. I enjoy life too much to kill myself with food. I love food too much to kill myself with food.
The challenge:
90 days of healthy eating, meal replacements, detox/fasting and 30-90 minutes of exercise a day. What does that mean for me? Giving up soda, bread, and candy? Not really. The first week I will give up most sugars and carbs. But, I'm not giving up bread or ginger ale. I may switch to tonic water and add fruit or juice to it. I need to learn to not overindulge when eating. Moderation is key and learning to stay within my limits. If not, the food will have to go permanently.
This is week 1- detox from garbage foods.
Breakfast- Body by Vi smoothie with fresh fruit and almond milk.
Lunch- Salad and a rice cake with peanut butter and banana
Dinner- Open faced tuna sandwich with tomato on whole wheat bread, Chicken fajitas, Pork chops with brown rice and steamed veggies
Drinks- Water with lemon or cucumber and tea with honey
Fitness- Walking at least 30 minutes and light exercise till my foot feels better.
I'll try to post as often as I can about my progress. Sadly I did not measure myself today. I did however weigh in at 165.
I will leave it here for now and tell you more in my next post. It's such a pain typing on a darn tablet.

Day Six and Seven of Lent: Not all that exciting
Day six started a bit slow. I woke up with another headache, putting in me in bed for longer than I wanted. I was hoping to get up and exercise, but that didn't happen. I had a nice visit from a friend and I ended up doing some of my workout before bed. Not much else went on. It was a good but unproductive day.
Day seven was okay. I did a little exercising and walked to pick up pizza for dinner. Not much else today. I've been lazy the last few days because I'm PMSing.
Boring as hell, right?
So here are my questions for the two days....
Day six: What always helps lift you up when you're feeling down?
Music always helps lift my spirits. Also having someone or some way to vent my frustrations. I am hoping fitness will become a new way to uplift my mood and I won't need people to help me anymore. I don't really like venting to people like I used to.
Day seven (from a friend): What is more important, taking care of others or yourself first?
My answer is you must take care of yourself before you can take care of others. You can't take care of another if you cannot take care of yourself.

Lent day Five: Ready for a Challenge
The day started with a hangover like feeling. I think the very little sugar I had yesterday may be the cause, or maybe the caffeine from my tea. I had an awful headache. I got up to make the girls from Samantha's slumber party pancakes and bacon. Chocolate chip pancakes were made for the first time. I'm not really a fan of them, but the girls liked them. I chose a BLT instead. We watched Nine Dead and I thought it was interesting. It's like a mystery/psychological thriller type movie. The girls all left before 2 pm. YAY! I thought they were staying past dinner, because Samantha invited them to stay that long. Now that the kids are gone I can relax and clean up the house. Ha ha, yup cleaning house was relaxing for the moment. I need to clear my head and think things through. I have some things on my mind and in my heart that need to be worked out. I'll go for a walk after dinner to help.
We made:
Hershey's cookies and cream cookies,
Brownies,
Blueberry cheese cake (also I bought one too),
Home made Oreo McFlurries,
Nachos for dinner
Nuka Cola (Fallout video game drink)
Chocolate chip pancakes with bacon for breakfast.
Tomorrow is the start of my 30 Day Challenges. I will do Marc and Angels Challenge called 30 Challenges for 30 days of Growth. I got it as a free download. Yay for free! According to the challenge I have to do these challenges for the full 30 days. A new challenge each day, but I must continue to do each challenge EVERYDAY! So as I add a challenge each day I will still be doing day ones challenge. This will be a challenge for sure and I'm excited.
Also, I will start a variety of fitness challenges that I am going to put together and make my own fitness challenge, sorta. We'll see how it goes. If you would like to join me in my fitness challenge I will post a separate entry about how I will be challenging myself.
Question of the day: What does every good relationship have?
Communication- an honest, open, and trusting communication. It's very important that people are not afraid to express their feelings with one another. Be honest, open, trustworthy, understanding, and thoughtful in all communications in any relationship.

Lent Is Near
Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday! Indulge in your sins... I know I'm going for coffee with my friend Emma and talk about furthering our education. I'm more excited to catch up with her and hopefully talk about fitness too.
Lent is coming, Lent is coming and guess what? I still have no idea what to give up besides soda. I want to do the bad carbs and or refined sugars. The problem is I just don't know enough to give 100%. I have to give 100% or I won't feel that I completed Lent. So, I think I will go with No junk food (mostly to remove refined sugars), Soda (again sugars), and processed foods (no pre-made/boxed/packaged crap). I think that would be a good start to better choices in the long run and removing sugars and carbs I do not need. Also, it will give me time to learn more about good and bad carbs. Yes? Sounds good to me. I will also be fasting on Wednesdays and Fridays- tea and water only.
I will restart an old workout challenge I want to do. I'll post more about this in detail tomorrow. I would also like to work on some writing and self awareness. I will answer one question each day, something about myself, my opinions, beliefs and what not. If you have a question you would like me to answer, feel free to message me or comment below. During Lent I will be working on a new 30 day project. It will go with my question of the day. It is called 30 Challenges for 30 days of Growth by marcandangel.com. I found Marc and Angel on G+ and I enjoy their website. So I thought I would give their challenge a try during Lent. I will also use some of their questions for my Question of the Day. I feel that this will be a great way for me to really get in touch with myself (haha touch myself, yeah okay, it's not funny). Seriously, I think this will be good for me and I would like it if you would consider doing the same.
I think that's it for now. I'm tired and waited till way to late to write. I'll give you the low down on how blogging will be for Lent and where the challenges will fit in.
Good night
Lisa

Lent is Coming
Yes my friends, Lent will be upon us in three weeks. Wait, three weeks? POOP! I don't have much time. I am still not sure what I want to give up. Since I started participating in Lent, I have always given up the same things. Beef, Pork, Soda, Dining out, and Junk Food. Once I gave up sex (including masturbation and porn); It was horrible.
I rarely eat pork these days. Mostly bacon and that's only once or twice a month. We eat beef more now and less chicken. Dining out isn't like it used to be. I rarely eat fast food (though Samantha and I ate McDonalds twice last week). Junk food and soda are still high on my list of things I eat in excess. Maybe I should give up Bad Carbs. Junk food and soda are part of the bad carb family, so I think it makes sense, yes? I was also thinking about doing the Daniel Fast, but you can't drink tea. Then there was the no processed food idea as well. I think the no bad carb idea may be best. It combines the bad carb and processed food together. I still have three weeks to get ideas, so if you have one, let me know.
I want to do something a bit different this year on top of my blogging daily about Lent. I want to do a writing exercise. I need 40 questions or topics to write about. I'm looking for topics that will be thought provoking, emotional, and give me an opportunity to reflect on past experiences and really look into myself. If you have a topic you would like me to write about or a question you would like me to answer. Send them my way. If I don't get 40 that's okay. I would like as many as I can get.
That's all for now. Good night and sweet dreams.
Your Friend,
Lisa

Update on my Procrastination.
Yes I'm a procrastinator. I have admitted this before in an old post. I'm working on ridding my life of it, but until then I will give you a little update.
UPDATE 1
I have not finished my revamp and entry swapping yet.
SEE... Procrastination, that bastard!
All the sex talk entries will be moved to Tumblr. I will post the link to the blog when I get around to it. Not all the entries are moving, some will be rewritten and posted.
UPDATE 2
I have been on a blogging hiatus of sorts. I have noticed I only blog during extreme emotion. I don't like that. I need to work on this problem. There were times I wanted to blog but I was nowhere near my Mac. I should just start taking notes on my phone as they come to me. I do have a list of entries I want to write on in a "Blogging Journal". It was nice to take a break though and not really think about blogging. Time to get back into it and be more productive.
UPDATE 3
I started a Fitness Challenge on January 15th. It's going okay. I ended up switching from one fitness plan to another because the new coach and workouts were too advanced for me. Last week I hurt my lower back and hip. Some muscle spasms and a pinched nerve for about 5 days. It hurt to walk and sit, it sucked ass. I'm feeling much better and back on track. I have not had any soda today and only had one yesterday. I made cabbage soup for the next few days to help me detox. I'm not trying to lose weight, but I am trying to learn how to live a healthier lifestyle and strengthen my core. I'll update you as I go. I am also using the Body by Vi shakes and I really like them.
UPDATE 4
Over the weekend I went to this awesome book store in El Cerrito called The Bay Area Free Book Exchange with some friends. I have been wanting to go ever since I saw them on SF Fun Cheap. I had well over 100 books to donate and I didn't want to give them to the local library. I have been holding on to some of these books for years knowing I would never read them. My friend JW is a sweetheart and helped me transport the books. We get to the book store and I am so freaking excited. I can't even tell you how happy I was to be there. So many books to choose from and they're FREE... We left with about 17 books I think. JW picked out 2 and Kat had maybe 6, I'm not sure. W & S didn't pick anything out. The ones in the photo are mine. I want to go again, so if you're interested, let me know.
JW decided it would be a great day to go to Golden Gate Fields as well. I have never been so of course I'm going to say Hell Yeah! My first time at a horse track and it was so fun. I can't wait to go again.
*Hint Hint* VIRGINIA!!!
I will leave you with a quote I read this morning. I plan on adding it to one of my soon to be rewritten entires. It is by Tyler Knott Gregson, whom I had never heard of before today. I am an instant fan.
"Do you think it possible that some people are born to give more love than they will ever get back in return?"

"Do you think it possible that some people are born to give more love than they will ever get back in return?"

craving veggies & an ER visit
![]() |
| from fanpop.com |
I have been seriously craving veggies. I'm also craving pizza, so I thought I would order my favorite. Sadly it did not satisfy my cravings. wah wah wah.... I had four slices of pizza and some cheesy bread. I'm stuffed and yet not fulfilled. Now what do I do? maybe I should have ordered a salad too.
This week was okay, I did pull a muscle in my upper back that cause serious problems with my right arm and chest. I had to go to the ER because I had a hard time breathing and my right arm became numb. It was a little scary, but I knew I would be okay. I'm just glad it was a pulled muscle and nothing to do with my lungs or heart. with all the questions they asked I was a little worried. It did make me think about what I am consuming. I bought coconut juice and Arizona Ice teas instead of a bunch of soda. I still had soda but not as much as I usually do. I gone from 4liters a day to 20oz a day. That's a good start, right? I hope to have it down to a can (12oz) or a glass at one meal a day and then to only drinking it when I dine out or have pizza at home. I have to have a soda with my pizza.
I didn't measure myself this morning. OOPS so I'll do it in the morning. That's all for now, i don't really have much to say. I'm tired from all the food I ate and I have to get up early to get the house ready for my sons graduation/ acceptance party on Sunday. I'll talk more about that tomorrow. Good night kids.

Let the June Challenge begin.
![]() |
I started today with a new challenge. I want to better my health, and make new "good habits". I weighed, measured and took pictures of myself today. I will do this every Friday and post my progress. My goal is not really to lose weight, but to be more healthy and fit. According to the chart above at 5'2" & 155 lbs (11 stone) I am overweight. Up until 2003 I weighed between 134-140. I started gaining weight and getting fat. Okay i'm not really fat, but have have more fat than I want. I am getting sluggish and sometimes I get exhausted out of nowhere. I do not smoke, occasionally drink, and I don't do street drugs or Prescription (Rx). I've never been a fan of any of that stuff, though I have tried marijuana, all it did was make me tired. I think it's only purpose is for medicinal use.
I will not make myself give up anything, but learn to have what I love in moderation. I am working on a fitness goal plan that I can break down into smaller parts. Baby steps is what I keep telling myself. If I start too big I will give up.
So here is the Beginning:
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 155
BMI: 28 (overweight/ borderline obese)
Measurements:
Bust: 38 1/2
Arms: 12 1/2
Waist: 33
Hips: 42
Thighs: Left 24 Right 25 (is that normal?)
Calves: Left 15 right 15 1/2 (again, wtf?)

Holy Cow...err pig?
So I had chili and cherry soda the other day and I got sick. I am still not feeling better. Why you may ask. Well 1. I ate beef and had soda. 2. I feel guilty. I really think skipping on beef and soda is the right choice, because even a rare occasion of indulging may make me ill. I do need to drink more water and milk. So Lent was a success to an extent. This year I only lost 5 pounds, but thats okay. I can't wait to eat pork, but I am afraid it will have the same effect on me as did the beef. We will wait and see. mmmm BLT. I have been craving one for weeks. WEEKS PEOPLE!
I also need to step up my game on fitness. I have been slacking off and doing workouts only half way. I need a coach. or someone to tell me to get of Facebook and get my ass moving.

My Body Image
| Awesome quote |
Most women do not like being naked in front of others. Some won't even get completely naked in front of their significant others. Now I am no expert at all this being naked business, who is really? I just think being naked shouldn't be an issue. Yet here I am insecure about my own body image. Though it is not what other see that I am afraid of; it is what I see or think I see when I look at myself. Many women have distorted views of their bodies. I know I had asked Ryan on many occasions while out if I looked like certain women. I thought these women were close to what I see when I look in the mirror. Ryan would always say no and I think a few times he thought I may be crazier than usual. I would love to have a tummy tuck someday. Mostly for comfort reasons rather than vanity. I have a difficult time finding clothes that fit well because after having 3 kids my belly isn't what it used to be. It also has to do with the fact I drank soda a lot and didn't take care of my body. So it is my own fault.
Don't get me wrong, I do love being naked. I hang out at home naked all the time, maybe a little too much. Yet I am insecure about others seeing me naked. Weird, right? I am working on my body image in more ways than one. I am trying to get healthier inside and out. I am trying to see myself in new ways, testing myself and pushing my limits. I want to be comfortable in my own skin. I want to be happy with what I have and who I am. It's all a work in progress.
| Me July 2010 :( |
This is me last Summer. I love this dress and it no longer fits. So I know I gained some weight since then. the sad thing is I was fat/ chubby last Summer. I tried to lose weight over the last few years and I could never lose any. I know I need a change in my diet and start working out more. This lent I have not lost any weight. I think my body is on starve mode and saving that fat just in case. I know my body will figure it out sooner or later that I am not starving.
I know I am a pear shape because all my weight is in my belly, hips, thighs & ass {HUSH VIRGINIA}.
I want to post pictures on here but I am a little worried about them becoming more than my before and after pictures. I know it would be a great motivation to keep me going. I've seen what people do to pictures online. I'll have to think about it

Lent Days 22-24
I took some time off from over stimulation. I did get online to check emails, and read news. Some how yesterday I got stuck watching literal music videos after reading a music news blog about them. I think I watched all of them. There was some that were super awful, but it didn't really matter I still laughed. Here is a link to a literal Total Eclipse of the Heart.
Lent is going pretty well. After my psychotic masturbation frenzy I was fine. So it seems I can only go a couple of weeks before I need to release the sexual pressure. I wonder if guys go through that? I have been drinking a lot of tea and i think I need to switch to decaf because I am having a serious time getting to sleep. My time and days are way off. I think this weekend I will only drink water and hot green tea. I need to give my body a break. I started the Body Rock exercises and have been doing a walk/jog intervals for 30 minutes everyday. That Body rock program is no joke. i was hurting after four minutes and then after that Samantha wanted me to workout with her using my Kathy Smith DVD. I bought it at Big Lots for $2.00, but Walmart is selling it for around $6.00. I cannot keep up with Kathy Smiths 80's workout. Samantha loves it and can keep up. I can get about half way through one of her workouts then I have to take a break. I remember when I could do 2 or more of the Richard Simmons Sweatin' to the Oldies. Oh, now I want that, can you still buy the set? Kathy Smith's video is pretty good. It has 3 different workouts on one DVD. It was worth the $2.00.
Okay well I'm off to bed. Good Night!

Lent: Day 11 Why I gave up soda & dining out.
| mmmmm |

| Jerry's Hot Dogs Beef & Chicken Gyros w/ fries |
Today: I had tea, water, and 2 breakfast burritos. I am stuck on those things. Eggs, veggies and a tortilla, yum. I went to the store before its started raining, but by the time I got out it was pouring. I was soaked when I got home. Then I waited a while before checking my mail this evening only for it to start pouring out of nowhere as i was returning from the mail box. I guess GOD thought I need more than one shower today.
Today is my eldest daughters birthday. Shelby is 16. YES 16, can you believe it? 16 years ago I was a teenager, I was still in high school and still living with my parents. Two more years and she will be an adult. That is a little scary. No, I don't feel old like everyone else says. I was young when I had her and I still am young. Well until my arthritis acts up from the freezing cold weather. haha

Lent: Day 8 I'm sick
I have a headache and sinus pressure from hell. I took some sinus medicine, but it's not helping. As soon as I am done with this blog I will go take a nice hot bath, drink some tea and read a book. I think it's the flu because I feel fever like symptoms coming on. I had a smore's poptart, bagel and salad for today. My throat is a little itchy so eating is no fun right now.
I had to go deal with some issues at my apartment complex. The manager and I spoke for a bit and I was a upset, but understanding. I'm still upset a bit yet, there is nothing I can do about it right now. I have to find a way to make things work. If I want to live here I have to go by their rules. It just sucks that they are just now enforcing rules that have been here for a long time. Somehow I didn't notice or maybe I miss understood the rules and then forgot all about it. I will have to keep my lease handy and reread it. Some new rules have been added that make things hard, but there is nothing I can do. I can't afford to live any where else. So I will just abide by the rules and keep to myself. I wish I could talk about it on here in more detail, but I don't want to risk getting evicted.
I did some of the exercises from BodyRock.tv. I only lasted 10 minutes. Thats pretty good I think. I know in time I will get better and have more endurance, stamina, and reps. I need to get all the items she uses, but I don't have the money at the moment. I walked today even though it rained. I'll walk when it's not raining tomorrow.
I want to blog more but my head hurts. I'm going to relax in the bath. Maybe I'll blog later, if I don't fall asleep. Good Night.
xoxo,
Lisa

Lent: Day 7
I didn't do much today. I have a lot on my mind and can't seem to shake this feeling that has come over me. I have some blogs I was working on almost done and some new ones in brain storming mode. Do you remember when we were young and our teachers would make us do the brain storm clouds and write out all our thoughts, ideas, and such? I still do that. Sometimes I draw it out and sometimes I use my computer to make lists. I wonder if any schools still do that because my kids don't.
I had tea, a hand full of popcorn, and 3 chicken fajitas today. Thats it. I think I am getting sick, my sinuses are hurting and a little clogged. I have a slight headache and my stomach has hurting. Maybe I need to herbal tea or theraflu. I went for a walk today, but didn't do any other kind of exercise. I want to try www.BODYROCK.tv. Maybe I can start that tomorrow. I'm going to take a nice hot shower, have some hot tea, and read a book in bed. Good night.

Heavy Weight
As of this morning I weigh 160 even, and yes I was naked when I weighed myself. I wonder where the 5 lbs extra I had last week went. I'm not going on another diet! I will learn how to eat healthier & proper portions. Honestly I should be ashamed of myself. I took a nutrition class and other Bio- Health classes; yet I am over weight/ obese. I read somewhere that the best time to start a new diet/ exercise/ healthy living program is when a woman starts her menstrual cycle. I'm not sure if that is true, but I don't want to wait either. So I will start with Lent which begins March 7. On that morning I will do a full weigh in, measurements and physical fitness test. I took a circuit training class and we did the test and weigh in the beginning of the semester and at the end, so I will do the same here. Maybe I'll even do a little video/ picture comparison thing. MAYBE. I have already made some changes in my eating habits, but because it has been cold (I hate the cold) I have been lazy and just snacking. Bad, bad, Lisa ...I really need to stop drinking soda. I don't have the will power to drink it occasionally, I always over indulge. The good thing is I will have a partner in crime on healthy living.
My friend Briana is also trying to better her health, so I have offered to be her long distance "Healthy Living" buddy. So you may see some guest blogging from her on here. She has some great ideas for better living and not just when it comes to food. She is an new blogger, but she is worth reading and has great insight on living simpler. Living simple has caught on since the economy took a nose dive. I honestly believe it is a better way of living. Well I'll leave my thoughts on simple living here; it's really a whole blog topic on it's own.
